Molière's The Misanthrope

pattern.png

Our Inaugural Production . . .

has been postponed indefinitely.

Molière's The Misanthrope is as sharp, hilarious, and painfully relevant today as it was nearly four centuries ago.

Beneath its wit lies a timeless question:

Is it possible to live honestly in a world built on social performance?

Our production explores the tension between uncompromising truth and the subtle performances that make society function.

The characters navigate questions that remain deeply familiar today:

How honest should we really be?

When does authenticity become cruelty?

When does politeness become hypocrisy?

Can we belong without pretending?

These are not merely comic situations.

They are profoundly human ones.

Psychologist Erik Erikson described adulthood as a continual negotiation between opposing forces—including Intimacy vs. Isolation and Integrity vs. Despair.

Molière dramatized these same struggles centuries earlier.

His characters long for connection while wrestling with pride, vulnerability, reputation, and love. Their flaws are our own. Their questions remain unanswered because every generation must answer them again.

That is why The Misanthrope continues to endure.

It invites us to laugh at ourselves while asking us to become better versions of ourselves

Meet the Ensemble

Our cast represents the heart of The Stagecraft Collective.

These are artists committed to the long journey of becoming exceptional storytellers.

Most balance demanding careers while dedicating evenings and weekends to rehearsals, voice work, movement training, and text analysis—not because they have to, but because they cannot imagine living without the work.

Each rehearsal is another step toward mastery.

Each performance is an opportunity to serve the story.

Each artist brings curiosity, discipline, generosity, and a profound respect for the audience.

We're honored to introduce them and invite you to follow their journey.
